Hello, I'm Tual!
I'm a book editor and literary translator with more than five years of experience in the publishing industry.
I graduated Salutatorian from Hacettepe University with a BA in Teaching French as a Second or Foreign Language.
While my background is in language education, my heart has always belonged to books. That passion naturally led me to the world of book editing and translation.
Exploring everything from word origins to the art of poetry and drama has deepened my appreciation for language, not just how it is used but how it is experienced. Teaching has helped me become more attentive to details, more flexible with different voices, and better at supporting others as they find their own.
The Person Behind the Books
I’m 31 years old, based in Istanbul, and I manage a company in London. I’m a member of the Scientific and Technical Committee of the Turkish Literary Translators’ Trade Union. I love reading, editing, translating, contemplating, and romanticizing everything.
I specialize exclusively in fiction.
I work with both debut and published authors writing in English, offering developmental editing, copyediting, proofreading, and manuscript evaluation. Whether you’re working on your first manuscript or already have books on the shelves, I’m here to support your process.

I’m drawn to the heart of every narrative. I don’t just correct or translate words; I listen to them. I look for what gives a story its shape and help refine it so it reaches readers with clarity and honesty.
Whether I’m editing or translating, my aim is the same: to preserve the writer’s voice. Every piece of writing has its own rhythm and tone, and I work to make sure those qualities stay intact while the text becomes clearer, stronger, and more engaging to read.
